About

The purpose of this blog is to document my family history research.  Its functions will be the following:

1. To serve as a research log to document how I reach certain conclusions (otherwise I may forget!) and keep my extended family and other interested persons abreast of my progress.

2. A space to reflect on the process and my findings.

  1. Hi, I recently read your article, Black face, Latin Look. It was a wonderful piece. I am working on my dissertation, which focuses on the racial and cultural identity development process of Black U.S.Immigrants from non-Anglophone countries. Would love to talk to you.

    1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog and reminding me of the blast from the past that is the Black Face, Latin Looks article I did 🙂 Yes, let’s definitely talk. I just accepted your linkedin invite so you can hit me up there.

  2. Hi, I’ve just read your blog about St Lucian names which caught my eye because I’m a Mondesir born in England but my father was from Castries. Other branches of the family are called Septembre (my grandmother Angela) and Belissaire. I’ve been trying to do research on my St Lucian family but it’s hard to do much at a distance so I will follow your blog with interest.

    1. Hi Simone! Thank you so much for reaching out. Hopefully I will get a burst of energy and inspiration soon so I can get back to doing this research and actually have something to post!
